I'm a brand designer. I build identities, websites and design systems made for the AI era: the brand's history and rules organised so a client can keep making on-brand work after handover, even with no designer in house. Illustration is the expertise I bring to that work: when a brand needs a hand-made layer, I can paint it myself.
Method
I start by noticing how a story wants to be told: who the brand belongs to, and what people already feel about it.
I collect visual inspiration from daily life, and I listen: to the client's story and the brand's history, to the market it is entering, and to the people who will meet it for the first time.
I sort what I've heard into something written down: the identity, the rules, and the brand's history organised into files that both people and AI can read.
I build a design system that keeps working after handover: the identity and guidelines, plus an AI agent set up on the brand's own files. A client with no in-house designer can still make on-brand work and keep it consistent. I run my own practice the same way.
